Biography

Norman Robert Foster was born on June 01, 1935 in Reddish, Stockport, England. He is a very important English architect.
When he was a child, he wanted to be an architect, and his parents sent him to a private school in Manchester. Later, he worked in the Manchester City Treasurer´s office, and then, he joined at Nathional Service in the Royal Air Force. He graduated from architecture in 1961 at Manchester´ School of Architecture and City Planning. He founded his first architecture studio (Team 4) in 1963, and four years later he founded the second architecture studio with his first wife Wendy, it was called Foster Associates, and then Foster and Parters.


Famous buildings


The HSBC Main Building, the Dresde´s Central Station, the Bilbao´s Underground, the Madrid´s box tower, and the 30 St Mary Axe.

Stirling Prize, Pritzker Architecture Prize, Minerva Medal, and Prince of Asturias Award
